The Email Disk Usage menu in cPanel allows you to view and manage the disk space used by your email accounts. This tool provides a simple and intuitive interface to manage your email storage and helps you effectively clean up your mailbox. This tutorial will guide you through the steps to use the Email Disk Usage menu in cPanel.

Accessing the Email Disk Usage Menu

To access the Email Disk Usage menu, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your cPanel account.
  2. In the Email section, click on the Email Disk Usage icon.

The Mailboxes Table

This table contains a list of mailboxes. You can sort by the name, number of messages, or disk usage.

  • Mailbox Name - This is the mailbox's name.
  • Number of Messages - This tells you how many messages are in the mailbox.
  • Disk Usage - This shows how much computer space the mailbox uses. It can be in bytes, kilobytes (KB), megabytes (MB), or gigabytes (GB).

Managing Your Email Disk Usage

  • Choose the account/folder you want to manage from the list.
  • Click on Manage.
  • A new window will appear with options to delete all emails or only those that match certain conditions. Choose the appropriate option based on your needs.
  • Click on Delete Permanently to confirm your action.
  • Keeping your email clean

    Regularly cleaning up your mailbox not only saves disk space, but also makes your email more organized and easier to navigate.

    Deleting emails permanently

    Once you click on Delete Permanently, all selected emails will be removed and cannot be recovered. Make sure to backup any important emails before deleting them.
