Zone Editor

The Zone Editor lets you to create, edit, and delete Domain Name System (DNS) zone records.
Add a DNS zone record
- Log into your cPanel account.
- Navigate to the Domains section.
- Click on Zone Editor.
- Select Your Domain: In the Zone Editor, click Manage next to the domain you want to edit.

Click + Add Record button.
- Fill in the record details:
- Name: The record name (e.g., www).
- TTL: Time to Live in seconds.
- Type: The type of DNS record (A, CNAME, MX, etc.).
- Address: The value for your record (IP address or domain).
- Fill in the record details:
- Click Save Record to create the record.
Change a DNS zone record
- Log into your cPanel account.
- Navigate to the Domains section.
- Click on Zone Editor.
- Select Your Domain: Find the domain whose DNS record you want to edit. Click on "Manage" next to the respective domain.
- Find the DNS Record: Within the list of DNS records, locate the one you wish to edit. You can use the search function if necessary.

Click on the Edit button next to the record.
- Make the necessary changes to the record's fields, such as:
- Name: Typically the subdomain (e.g., 'www').
- TTL: Time to Live – how long the server should cache the information.
- Type: The type of record (A, CNAME, MX, etc.).
- Address: The destination for the record (IP address, another domain, etc.).
- Click the Save Record button to apply your changes.
- Make the necessary changes to the record's fields, such as:
Delete a DNS zone record
- Log into your cPanel account.
- Navigate to the Domains section.
- Click on Zone Editor.
- Select Your Domain: Find the domain whose DNS record you want to modify. Click on "Manage" next to the respective domain.
- Find the DNS Record: Within the list of DNS records, locate the one you wish to delete. You can use the search function if necessary.
- Click Delete next to the record that you want to remove.
- Click Continue in the confirmation dialog box to delete the record, or click Cancel.
Verify the DNS Record
Use tools like dnschecker.org to confirm that your record is resolving correctly.
