This tutorial teaches you how to remove a domain from your cPanel account.

How to redirect a domain with cPanel?

  1. Log into your cPanel account.
  2. Navigate to the Domains section.
  3. Click on Redirects.
  4. Create the Redirect

Fill in the necessary fields to set up your redirect:

    • Type: Choose between a permanent (301) or temporary (302) redirect.
    • http://(www.): Select the domain name you want to redirect.
    • "/" directory: Specify the folder or file you want to redirect (optional).
    • Redirects to: Enter the full URL of the destination where you want to redirect the traffic.
    • www. redirection: Choose how you want to manage 'www' redirects.
    • Wild Card Redirect: Decide if you want to redirect all files within a directory to the same filename in the new directory.
  5. After filling in all the details, click on the Add button to implement your redirect.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

If the redirect is not working:

  • Ensure you've chosen the correct type of redirect (301 vs 302).
  • Check if the URL in the "Redirects to" field is correct and accessible.
  • Look for any typos in the domain names or file paths.
  • Contact your hosting provider for further assistance if issues persist.
